Outgoing PRO/DOI Highlights Major Achievements
In a statement titled "Celebration of Outstanding Achievements as SUG PRO/DOI," the outgoing PRO/DOI outlined several initiatives and accomplishments recorded during the administration.

The outgoing PRO/DOI stated that more than 6,000 FUTO students were integrated within the first week of his assumption of office, with the number subsequently growing to more than 13,000 students across the various official information dissemination platforms of the SUG.

According to the statement, the SUG's Facebook and Meta platforms recorded a combined reach and engagement of more than 400,000 people, with daily insights reportedly showing continued growth.

These included emergency stickers, posters and public notices.
The statement also mentioned the second edition of the SUG magazine, "Echoes of FUTO," which was described as a publication intended to inform, inspire and preserve stories and experiences from the FUTO student community.

The objective was to facilitate the accurate and timely dissemination of information to students.
Taking SUG Public Relations Beyond Campus

The engagement was presented as an effort to extend the Union's public relations activities beyond the immediate university environment and provide a wider platform for discussions concerning students.
Media Identity and Professional Representation
The Directorate also facilitated the procurement of identity jackets for the DOI Press.
The initiative was intended to improve the visibility and identification of members of the Union's media personnel during official activities and engagements.
The outgoing administration also organised the All Stars Media Conference in collaboration with the 27th Council of PROs/DOIs and FSSJ.
The conference brought together university staff, media professionals, student leaders and students for discussions centred on learning, innovation and professional engagement.
Creative Bootcamp and Student Development
The Directorate further highlighted its collaboration with relevant stakeholders in hosting the Creative Bootcamp.
The programme provided participants with opportunities for creative development, learning, networking and capacity building.
The initiative formed part of the administration's broader focus on providing students with opportunities beyond traditional academic activities.

He expressed appreciation to individuals who supported the administration and contributed to the implementation of its vision.
He concluded that the administration leaves behind what he described as a stronger voice, a better-informed community and a foundation for those who will continue the work.
"The tenure ends, but the impact and legacy remain."
Aluta Mandate Takes Over

New PRO/DOI Introduces "Aluta Wave"

He also paid tribute to the outgoing PRO/DOI, Nduka Victory, whom he described as his father and mentor.
David acknowledged the work, sacrifices and commitment of his predecessor and said the legacy left behind would serve as an inspiration.
A Transition From One Administration to Another
The transition marks a new chapter in FUTO student leadership.
The outgoing Aluta Sensational administration has now concluded its tenure after highlighting several initiatives carried out during its time in office, while the Aluta Mandate administration begins its own period of service.
For the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the transition also means a change in communication leadership, with the incoming PRO/DOI expected to build on existing structures while introducing new ideas.
The success of the new communication direction will depend on how effectively information is gathered, verified and communicated to students.
What Students Can Expect
With the new administration now in place, students can expect continued communication through the official SUG platforms regarding issues affecting the university community.
The introduction of the "Aluta Wave" suggests an intention to maintain an active communication presence while placing emphasis on a positive engagement with students.
The incoming administration will also face the responsibility of responding to the concerns and expectations of the student community throughout its tenure.
A New Chapter for FUTO SUG
The change in administration represents the normal cycle of student leadership, with one team handing over responsibilities to another.
The achievements highlighted by the outgoing PRO/DOI provide a record of the initiatives undertaken by the Directorate during the 2025/2026 administration.
The incoming Aluta Mandate administration now has the opportunity to establish its own identity, policies and achievements while continuing the responsibility of representing FUTO students.
As the new administration settles into office, students will be watching to see how its promises translate into action.
For the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the immediate task will be to maintain effective communication, provide timely information and keep students connected to the activities and decisions of the Students' Union.
FUTO Central wishes the outgoing administration well as it concludes its tenure and wishes the Aluta Mandate Executive a successful tenure of service to FUTO students.
