The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced the commencement of the sale of 2026/2027 Pre-Degree Programme Forms, opening up an alternative admission pathway for candidates seeking to gain entry into the university.

Eligibility Criteria

According to the announcement, applicants seeking to apply for the Pre-Degree Programme must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Have registered and sat for the 2026 UTME.

Application Fee

The application fee for the Pre-Degree Programme has been fixed at ₦15,000, payable strictly via FUTO Remita.

Application Period

The sale and completion of application forms will run from 9th November 2026 to 31st March 2027.

Interested and qualified candidates are advised to complete their applications online through the official FUTO website, following these steps:

  1. Log on to the official university website: www.futo.edu.ng.
  2. Click on "School Portal."
  3. Click on "Pre-Degree" under the "Our Programmes" menu.
  4. Click on "Generate Invoice" and fill in the necessary details.
  5. Proceed to make payment of the ₦15,000 application fee.
  6. Return to the portal and click on "Application Form."
  7. Input the RRR number from the receipt of the application payment.
  8. Complete the application form and submit.
