The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced the cancellation of all examinations scheduled for today.

The announcement comes as students were expected to commence their examinations, with the SUG informing the entire student body of the sudden adjustment to the examination schedule.

Today’s Exams Cancelled

According to the official notice issued by the SUG, all examinations scheduled for today will no longer hold.

Students are therefore advised not to proceed to their examination venues for the affected papers and to take note of the revised arrangement.

Examinations Continue Tomorrow

While today's examinations have been cancelled, the SUG stated that examinations are expected to continue tomorrow.

However, the examinations that were originally scheduled for today will not simply be moved to tomorrow.

Instead, the affected papers have been shifted to take place after the last day of the examination period.

Students who were scheduled to write examinations today are therefore advised to await further information regarding the specific dates for their rescheduled papers.

Students Urged to Remain Calm

The SUG has urged students to remain calm and stay properly informed as the examination schedule is adjusted.

Students are encouraged to rely on official communication channels for further updates and avoid acting on unverified information circulating on social media or student groups.

The Union also apologised for any inconvenience the sudden adjustment may cause and appreciated students for their understanding and cooperation.

What Students Should Know

For clarity:

  • All examinations scheduled for today are cancelled.
  • Examinations are expected to continue tomorrow.
  • Papers scheduled for today will be rescheduled to after the last day of the examination period.
